## What is it?

EasyTime for Edge is an extension that connects Edge to EasyTime for Jira. While the extension is active, every ten minutes EasyTime checks your browser history for Jira issue keys and records your time against them.

### Before you start  


- EasyTime for Edge requires EasyTime for Jira to be installed on your Jira instance
- You must be in a "tracked group" in EasyTime. You can test this by viewing a ticket that you are working on in Jira for a little while. If an automatic record is created, you should be good to go.
- You need to generate a token to authenticate EasyTime for Edge with Jira - See [Creating a Token for an EasyTime Integration](https://techtime-website.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EasyTime/pages/5407115) for instructions

### Installation

Install EasyTime for Edge Add-on from the [Edge Add-ons page](https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/easytime-for-edge/dahkolgmmhcaidmnpboijahlhodchmco)

### Configuration/connection

Navigate to the EasyTime for Edge Configuration menu by selecting the extensions icon in the taskbar, selecting the three dots next to "EasyTime for Edge" (...), and selecting "Extension options".

Enter the URL of your Jira instance into the "Jira URL" field, and enter your token into the "EasyTime Authentication Token" field.

Click 'Save', and you are done!

### URL Mapping

By default, EasyTime for Edge tracks time based on issue keys found in your history. If you wish, you also specify specific URLs for EasyTime to look for. In the "URL Mapping" section of the configuration specify the URL and the issue key.
